Stupid suspension question
My 2014 e350 has a sport package on it. Are the springs for the sport model a different height than a non-sport? I am looking to get vogtland or H&R springs and I am wanting to make sure that the drop amount is correct. I don't want to spend money on springs unless I am getting the full +- 1.5 in drop. I think i am going to keep these wheels and put springs and spacers on it. Tint is coming next week.

I think you will be happy with vogtland springs. The ride is a little firm, but I kinda like it that way.

Mine is a 2011 w/sport package and I got every bit of a 1.5 in drop with vogtland springs. Before I installed the new wheels and tires (went with 19s) I used a 15 mm spacer in the rear and 5 mm in the front. I liked the way everything looked at the time but always planned on upgrading the wheels and tires.

I like Vogtland springs because they're purple. Seriously though, ride is much better with them, imo. I also got 1.5" drop on my '13 550, maybe a little more up front since it's heavy up there.

Whats the difference in drop? I was told H&R was 1.4 and 1.3. Vogtland are 1.5 and 1.5? Price difference? links? thanks

This has been answered several times. According to Data sheets from a W212 Sport and a W212 Luxury, the springs used on the different trim models are indeed different.

I changed the springs only. It's been almost a year now and I have no regrets. Cars looks better (in my opinion) handles better and feels sportier. However, I wouldn't recommend this if you are looking for a soft ride.

Youngd what springs did you install? Did your car have the sport package and if so how much did it drop? I am going to do something I just dont want to install springs and only get a 1/2 in drop.
