Any suggestions for floor mat for light grey interior?
Hi, All,
New to the forum. I just bought a 2014 CPO e350 and am looking for a floor mat for it.
The car has a light grey (or crystal grey?) interior. After I ordered and received the OEM grey floor mat, I found it to be too dark for the light grey interior. Is there another better options for the floor mat? Please advice! Thank you!!!

Do you have the light grey interior also?
I feel it does not look good with the contrast (deep grey mat vs. light grey interior). I could post a picture in the evening. But it could be just me.

I like the contrast when the carpet and mats are black but the seats are light gray. Thankfully I have all black. I realize it is not for everyone, but I like how dark carpet and mats hold up over time. Tan and light gray carpets/mats are too hard to keep clean in my opinion.

I have the light gray interior as well. I know the floor mats won't hold up. My last car was a Jaguar and one thing I liked was it had tan interior and black carpet and black seat belts. It was the best of both worlds.
I would think the dark gray may look ok if it matched the dark gray dashboard. Otherwise it may look like it doesn't match.
I would be interested to see a pic.

here are the photos. I have the deep grey dashboard. How does the back two seats look like?
Would it be better if I change the floor mat to beige color? The beige color will be lighter. But I am afraid that the tone of the color does not match.

That looks to me like Beige interior than light gray? Perhaps lighting is making it look more beige.
My 15 Genesis had white leather. My current 14 E550 has what looks like white leather but it is specified as gray. It sure is almost as white as the one in my Genesis.

I have the same interior. Those are the rubber all weather mats.
If you like it, that is the only thing that counts. I agree with you that beige will clash. I think the only other color you could try would be black. You could always place a black mat next to the dark gray and see if you think it's looks better.

I have the Oriental Red from ggbailey.com
Wonderful product, and every time I go to a car wash, I get complemented by guys who look at floor mats all day long.

I had grey in my W211 and the factory carpeted mats were darker than the carpet.
I recommend a set of factory carpet mats for the OP. I think the car should have come with these as a CPO.

I have one with light gray and am in process of deciding on replacements. autoanything.com and autosportctalog.com both feature Lloyd's and I would go with the Ultimat ones. Have used them before.
You can call one of the above and they will send you a carpet sample (2" square) of whatever colors and quality you want. This has been very helpful to me.
I'm leaning toward Lloyd Ultimat in smoke or Euro gray. Autosport has only dark gray or light gray options.
I don't like black as it conflicts too much with the light gray.
Actually the car manufacturers should provide darker color floor mats and the carpets themselves should be darker. But that is another issue.

While light colored floor mats can look pretty, they are almost always a huge hassle as they are constantly dirty. My car has a beige interior with beige carpet. The dash is a cocoa brown. I would not have minded had the carpeting matched the cocoa brown. As it is now, I use an original MB winter mat in the driver's position all the time. When it's dirty I scrub it with a brush and some spray nine. Last time I tried to keep a beige carpet mat- prior vehicle- I bought new mats every two years

Kudos to mikemargolis for trying something new. I'm all for a little understated flair or personalization. Nice job.
I'm impressed with the Lloyds and other mats discussed here. Since our OEM mats are ridiculously cheap affair, I could be easily swayed on a nice replacement set of black mats.
A bit about me: I'm a curmudgeon. If the int isn't black, I'm not interested in making it mine. I think I'd do a yellow or red ext before accepting a tan or light gray int (assuming the carpet and dash isn't black) and that's saying something. I'm just too damned uptight. I'd lose sleep. I'd be a wreck worrying about silly stuff. Besides a black int seems to age better than all the other colors IMHO. Even still, I replace my black mats every couple of years anyhow just to keep on top of it.

I requested for black mat, Sales gave me two (black and beige) sets when I brought the car. Beige get dirty too easily.

Thank you all for the replies. I get used to the grey mat and decide to keep it. Too much to do to return and find a new one. Since the dashboard is deep grey, so the deep grey mat kind of matches to it. I am OK with it now.
