No more snow brushes on my paint!
I am a resident here in the North East. Needless to say the winters here are long and harsh!
That being said, I am curious as to what other luxury car owners have done to clear thier vehicle of ice and snow with out scratching the clear coat?
And please don't say move to SoCal.

^ I like this. I need to get one of those...
Anyways, I have two hands, so I use those in most cases. Otherwise I have one of those brushes with a rubber squeegee type thing on it, and push the snow off with that. Works most of the time. The nice thing about mine is that the squeegee/brush are on opposite edges of a "shovel", so it doesn't matter which side you use, but both will shovel over 1.5 ft of sticky snow off the car in one push.

I use something similar to one of these, bought years ago for some of my other cars:

No scratches. I got the idea from seeing what the dealerships and rental car guys use to clear snow off their lot cars, they have something similar just bigger. Pulls the snow right off.

I use a snow brush, BUT I choose them carefully. I run the bristles across my hand, and if it feels rough on my hand, then it is too rough for my paint. Some brush marks are inevitable in Chicago, but in all my years I've never had marks so bad that a quick coat of wax/polish in the spring wouldn't remove them.
The squeegees like SnoMoover are interesting, but up here all too often there is debris on the paint from winter slush, and I am totally against scraping all the crud across the paint to remove it. Brush marks are easier to remedy than are stone scratches.

Only thing to be careful of with the brush is the hood emblem. I thought I had more room than I thought and I think I had just lightly tapped it with the brush, but I guess it was at the wrong angle or it was completely iced up so it just snapped off. $40 later I had a new one.

I find the 90 degrees foam head easy to work with than the traditional inline brush.

just make a small viewing spot in the window and drive 70 mph and the let wind do it. This way you put everyone on the road life in danger

Ha ha. I used to just clean my front , rear and front door windows only leaving everything on top, hood and trunk and drive (when I didn't know better). Now I just use a facility called garage.
