Red Triangle Warning Light - 2014 E350
So I'm driving home tonight and on 2 separate occasions...within about 5-10 min of each other on a 60 min drive...I hear an audible beep beep and this light momentarily came on above the fuel/temp gauge. I didn't catch it the first time, just heard the beep. The second time I was able to catch it. Both times I was accelerating mildly off a light. Anything I should worry about? Car is in Eco mode, E mode, and CPA is enabled.

I've gotten that before usually when I let the v8 loose. Always when accelerating from a standstill, especially when also turning right.

I was concerned the first time I saw it. Since it only happens when I expect it to and it goes away quickly, I've just accepted it as normal. If it started happening when I wasn't getting on the gas from a stop, then I might be more concerned. But it hasn't and I've had no other issues. Knock on faded wood...

You've got traction control, stability control and ABS. I've seen the light go off briefly when it kicks in. Usually it's just ABS in the snow, but on some icy sections while accelerating it comes on too which I guess is either traction control or stability control.

It might be the collision alert as well mistaking something else for a vehicle. Did you notice any cars on your left lane traveling slow...? That would trigger the collision alert.

For you 2011 owners, the triangle is the traction warning.
For a 2014 I believe this warning is related to Collision Prevention Assist, namely a distance warning. I had it trigger a few times on a loaner GLA for no apparent reason, just briefly as the OP said. I would not worry about it - false alarm.

I just think it's the collision alert. Mine goes off at the same intersection each and every time.
I'm in the right lane of a two lane left turn stopped at a red light.
Light turns green and I accelerate hard into my left turn from that right lane....as I'm halfway into my turn i believe the system thinks I'm going to slam into the traffic light facing the other way since I'm feet from it when I'm turning........it also happens if I'm stopped at a red Light and pedestrians crossing the road walk too close to the crib of the car.

Collision alert, do you have it? Red symbol at :43 seconds.
Mine alerts me when I am coming up fast to a slower or stationary vehicle. I do not have distronic, only parktronic and 993 lane package.

Collision alert. There is a setting that makes it more or less responsive depending on how you are driving. If you accelerate hard, it will become more sensitive for a short time, and this can lead to false alarms..

My menu says I have it, and it's in the normal sensitivity setting. However, I do NOT have Distronic, Parktronic, or blind spot monitoring either. How do it know?

How does it know? I have no clue. I am guessing the combination or parking sensors and the camera/sensors behind the rear view mirroring when looking from outside the vehicle. But I think that may be more of a light/rain sensor.

yeah, I literally have zero clue how most of these things work. I'll have to inquire at dealer. If I don't have those 3 options, I has to be in that rain/light sensor. It did it again tonight when a guy on a bicycle swerved out of bike lane too close to me.

This happens to me pretty frequently and as the previous poster said its typically when I let the v8 loose. In some situations it has also been accompanied by seatbelts tightening. My main issue with this is it typically happens when i'm exiting a lane that is occupied by a slower driver to enter a completely open lane so there is no real danger in the situation. Is this system just sensing me accelerating out of the occupied lane too fast? Or do these things ever require recalibration? I have a 2010 e550 btw and am currently using an aftermarket grill but the distronic radar is not obstructed nor is it attached to the grill. It is very similar to the oem distronic plate which I believe is just a piece of round plastic.

I believe the radar sensor is present only in cars with Distronic option. The regular car uses visual camera on top of windscreen to decide if the car in front is slowing down or not.
