Most do bro, its 2017 not 1991! It is totally up to you if you want to research the issue you have. For me, im the type of person who was raised working on cars and I honestly wanted to work on the car myself. Unfortunately, my fiance didn't feel the same and reminded me over and over about the warranty i'm paying for.

Plus, if you go after it tactfully with the dealer you won't rattle any cages. I usually email the SA with the list of stuff I want looked at - if there's a bulletin or something I include that info. I don't think most people run in their like a boss telling them what to do.

Update: MB SA just called to give me a final diagnosis...
Upon discovery of the check valves not being installed in my vehicle. After analysis, they also realized L+R chain tensioner's show signs of wear due to the mileage of the vehicle. Regarding the Fuel Code P2540; High pressure fuel pump failed. Pump needs to be replaced.
Conclusion:
- Check Valves need to be installed.
- Chain tensioner's (Left + Right) will be replaced.
- Fuel Pump will be replaced
SA advised; Upon installation of the above, codes will be cleared and vehicle will be reassessed to verify all issues have been addressed. "Hopefully no codes come back"
