New 2014 E550 owner today- conversion question

Hi I just bought the 2014 e550 and had the features I wanted but also 1 I didnt which is the airmatic.

It feels nice but I read here it gives too many problems and was going to switch it out to coilovers with swift springs.

Is there any work to convert it to the coilovers or its just swapping out the airmatics and install coilovers like any other car?

I wouldn't bother switching until it becomes problematic. You may have many years with no issues, potentially longer than your ownership. And changing it to conventional will hurt the value for the near future.

I was just worry about it failing while driving and having to be towed or if it fails I can drive it home or dealership no problem?

That depends on the manner of the failure. A slow leak would be something you'd be aware of but would mean you could drive for repairs. A sudden catastrophic failure would require a tow. There is no point in being afraid, the engine could blow up too.. just enjoy it.

Congrats! Post up some pics of your new car.

I think the updated int in the '14 W212 is super sharp.

If you've got the driver's massage seat, how do you like it?

Congrats and welcome!
Owned multiple cars with Airmatic starting with 2003 E500 - never a single issue.
Not sure why Airmatic is deemed unreliable and expensive as the technology itself is pretty old, fairly simple and really reliable.

Got the drivers massage seat and it is a nice touch. Does not compare to a real massage chair but on a car is a nice perk.

Wonder if airmatics wear out faster in bad roads like steel spring suspension since I live in NYC?

Not to mention you'd be stuck with this message on your display after coil over install:
