I've read that Mercedes and BMW (among others) keep an inventory of vehicles in stock in Germany that are available for quick European delivery.I suppose these vehicles might,perhaps,be the result of orders cancelled after assembly or are available for some other reason.Can anyone confirm that MB has such an "inventory" and,if so,is that "inventory" searchable on the web?

Yes, I have heard this. Our sales rep, who has been doing European delivery sales for a long time, has mentioned this in the past. He has also suggested that it's possible to get an order slotted into the production queue later than normal if you know how to do it. Could be just sales talk, but Ben has done very well by us and I'm inclined to believe him.

I too have heard that such an inventory exists. It is not searchable by customers. Don't know if sales people can search it using NetStar.
