MD/VA/DC Fall 1/4 Track Day (11am-4pm)

Ok boys, we have a date reserved for our day at the track. Just spoke to Kim at Capitol Raceway and we have Friday, November 4 reserved. Based on last Spring we should have no problem getting 15 people to show up since we have a few weeks. The cost will only be $76 per person for the day. (If we only get 8 or 9 the cost only goes up to $95). For some reason whenever the word "track" is mentioned people come out from under the woodwork. Anyways, you know I'm in. I have already started spreading the word and I know WaynE is also in as well as quite a few other people. I am working on a SL65 but no guarantees. Are other makes allowed as well? I was thinking about inviting one of my E46 M3 friends to show him what real cars (MBZ) can do! lol. I CANT WAIT!!!!!!!!!

Maybe you should break out how many of the crew will be running cars so we can seperate those watching versus running.

Was running around with the wifey getting last minute baby stuff before the scheduled C on Monday morning. Hope you had a great turn out. Based on the numbers so far, this will cost us under $70 a person.

Thats a question 04E55AMG will have to answer since I'm not the coordinator. I would think that everyone would like to keep the number of people coming low so that we can all get a decent number of runs in. I also know for a fact that alot of people that say they are going to come to events dont show up. Sooooo..... I dunno. I'll just run my porsche coworker on a empty street so that will free up a spot.

If we get to many folks I will put a cap on the event but at this point I do not see why. We currently have close to 20 cars and with two lanes that is 10 cars deep. Should be fun having some of these cars going head to head.

If the car runs the 1/4 mile in 13.9 or lower you need a helmet. Since we rent the track, they have provided helmets for those who do not have one in the past.
