Hey guys, I just got out of a meeting with the Eastern Region Director of Mercedes Club of America William Hopper, and several individuals from Mercedes-Benz of Baltimore including the general manager Michael Coleman about having a DMV (Delaware/Maryland/Virginia) meet at Benz of Baltimore. Both of them are going to sponsor the event and the dealer has given everything the 'green light' on this.

They're expecting over 100 people and anywhere from 55-80 various year/model Mercedes enthusiast cars including normal Benzs, classics, modded Benzs, AMGs, and at least one race car. Wanted to pass the word along because this will be the biggest Benz meet on the east coast.

-Free food, beer, wine, drinks and entertainment. (There's a tv in the dealership if there happens to be a football game that day too.)
-Employee price discounts on OEM Mercedes-Benz parts on that day only between 1-4pm (courtesty of parts manager Shaun)
-Competition for best-in-class awards
-Other stuff

The DC area meet up is scheduled for Nov 5 from 2:00 to 4:00.
Location: Rio Shopping Center in Giathersburg, MD, which is located right off of I-270 at the intersection of I-370. We are meeting at the top level of the parking garage above the AMC theatres/RIO Sport & Health. This is the southern entrance to the garage. We are meeting up there so that we can have a picture taken with all of the Benz's from 5 stories up that overlooks the lake below.

First of all the newest dealer in the region will be hosting us, Mercedes-Benz of Baltimore. A dealer that wants to be the "club house" for M-B enthusiasts in the region!

All we ask is that you bring a new unwrapped toy and or non-perishable food items for donation to a local charity. We will be loading up a Benz with all that is brought!

• We will have a Mercedes-Benz show (and any other cars that want to show too) with awards, peoples choice, dealer choice, and of course a few others!

• The dealership is hosting a reception party, with food and drink for attendees!

• There will be tours of the dealership, as well as a chance to talk one-on-one with the employees (and we are talking techs and parts guys - not just the car salespeople).

• The Parts Dept and M-B Boutique will be open and Shawn, who manges the parts dept is working on some special discounts for this event, as well as regular discounts for MBCA members.

No better way to start the holiday season than with a nice gathering of some great people and some really super cars! I am getting RSVP's with photos already, and all I can say is WOW, we are going to have quite a showing of amazing M-B's. A couple of the guys/gals who race M-B's are bringing their race cars as well, so there will be something for everyone!

If you are coming make sure you let us know, by sending an email to jdharriman (at) msn (dot) com telling him how many are in your party and what car you will be showing (you do not have to show a car to attend), that way we can make sure there is enough food and drink!
