S63 Extended Warranty- Easycare, Fidelity or Mercury?

Hi Folks,

I've got a 2011 S63 that will be out of factory warranty in September and i'm contemplating getting an extended warranty. Car was bought from a NON Mercedes store, so CPO/ELW isn't an option. I plan on keeping the car for about 18-24 months max, drive about 7k-10k miles a year.

From the quotes i'm getting, Mercury is cheapest, but the question is, are they as good as Easycare and/or Fidelity? Easycare is the most expensive of them all.

Is Easycare better and worth the extra money?

Would folks with experience with either or both, give me your feedback?

Thanks!
Jake

I'm in a similar situation. Looking to purchase used a 2009 S63 with low miles.

Did you make a decision on a warranty? I'm shopping for warranties at the moment.

I'm in a review with Carchex.. seeking out personal feedback on how satisfied policy holders are with how they cover claims....

Is your policy a Fidelity/Carchex/Assurant - all same company...

What MB did you buy it for?

Thanks

Just got a quote for my 2011 S63 that has one month left on new car warranty and has 25,500 miles. MB of Honolulu gave me this pricing.
4 year/48k Platinum $6734
5 year/60k Platinum $7433

2 year Pre-paid Maintenance $1450
3 year Pre-paid Maintenance $1950

When the finance mgr sent me the brochure for the warranty is was a Fidelity brochure. Any contact info to get a quote from Mercury?

My policy is written by Assurant via CarChex.

I know nothing of Fidelity being involved.

2012 S63 AMG is my car.

Carchex GOLD quote is $5041 for 5 years, 60000 miles, for 2004 G500 with 64000miles. $100 deductible. They pay full dealer labor rates where others do not...

$275 extra to add audio coverage

just received full dealer service history and hope to get it checked out over next few days.. I'm investing time to ensure this truck checks out right.

I've got a '11 S63 that was under warranty, purchased EasyCare from the local MB Dealership. Here are the quotes i got-
24 months or 24,000 miles - $500.00 deductible - $4,337.00
24 months or 24,000 miles - $250.00 deductible - $5,687.00
30 months or 30,000 miles - $500.00 deductible - $4, 860.00
30 months or 30,000 miles - $250.00 deductible – $6,474.00

I did the 24 month with $500 deduct.

Had my first claim-
1. Distronic Plus was acting up. In traffic, if car came to a complete stop, wouldn't start again unless i pressed the gas.
2. Engine mounts leaking.

They replaced the mounts, but wanted the dealer to reset the Distronic system to see if it will fail again. Said that if it happens, they will waive the deductible when i bring it back in..

Lol, i bought the warranty in April of last year, IIRC? Man, i got lucky! Car, knock on wood, has been totally problem free since that last visit. One of my favorites in my collection, will be a VERY hard car to replace; will have to be the new S65 coupe..

I've got the CarChex warranty. I used it for the first time about 2 months ago because one of the rear headrests was not closing down all the way when I pressed the button to move them.

$1200 to fix, but it was fully covered by the warranty. (minus my deductible, of course)

Looks like you got the Platinum Coverage. Covers everything except maintenance items. Lots of different coverage out there. Got to read the fine print. Not many companies cover AMGs.

I'm on my 2nd policy with Fidelity. Had only a single claim in 6 years on the first policy. Just got the 2nd one. So far they are ahead of me in payouts. I'm lucky with a bullet proof CLS 55.

Don't own these cars without a warranty unless you're filthy rich in which most likely you trade in every year on a lease.

Tried to get a quote on a Carchex warranty for my new-to-me 2006 S65 AMG. The rep on the phone once he ran the VIN asked if it had a 12 cylinder engine. I confirmed that it did. He apologized and informed me that they cannot cover this vehicle.

Oh well.

Any other suggestions?
