'12 G550

Hey Guys, I just traded my GL450 for '12 G550 Edition Select, love the truck so far and getting used to its idiosyncrasies. Any opinions on aftermarket light guards [dealer quote is outrageous], and aftermarket winter rubber mats [dealer says these are not available]. BTW..my truck is silver with designo black interior..I love the colour, had originally been looking for black on black.

Congrats on the new G550! I got winter matts from weathertech and they are great!

I thought the Edition Select had black bumpers and fenders?

I also got the Weathertech liners, they have worked out really well. The Edition Select came with the AMG exhaust, designo interior upgrades and painted wheels. I do not think any came with the black bumpers and fenders, however I did see a G-wagon with that combo, it actually looked quite menacing.

Edition Select must differ from Canada to USA.

In Canada, it comes in Obsidian Black, Mystic White, or Palladium Silver only.

They have Obsidian Black bumpers, mirrors & G55 fender flares, G55 exhaust, illuminated door sills. Stitched leather dashboard, CF inlay on exterior trim, black wheels, Designo piano black trim.

Choice of either Designo Porcelain/Black interior or Designo black.

We just got a Mystic White one in with the porcelain interior...it's the nicest G-Wagen i've ever seen.

Actually mine also has all the items that you have mentioned except the black bumpers and wheels. You are right, the G with black bumpers does look quite nice, I saw one in Toronto this past summer. Please post some pictures of your G, would look to see how it looks.

Not loving the white/black ext. Like the int. In grey/black that would be sweet. Thanks for posting it, I've never seen that combo.
