MPG?

Thinking of buying a G-Wagon for the wife. MPG is the only thing she is concern about because she takes some long road trips every summer. Is the gas mileage really as bad they say.

We have 2013 G550 and we get about 250 to 270 for full tank

I had my wife in a GLK for a little while and the city milage between the GLK and the G was pretty close (12-13mpg), on the highway, Iv'e gotten 16 in the G with a tailwind. Usually on a trip its about 15mpg, but I like to know my wife and kid are in a tank. Whether it's an a country road, or our wonderful 85MPH toll road it gets about the same. Although the toll road speeds somtimes get into triple digit speed that brings it back down to about 12-13mpg.

Clear as mud?

Thanks. We will probably still get one. At least the gas tank is huge. LOL.
