2013 G550 stalls in dryer @ carwash

I have a 2013 G550 with 23000 miles on it. Owned it since new. Has had several gremlins. Its been in the shop 73 days in the two years and just shy of two months we've owned it. Lately when going through a car wash, the automatic dryer kills the car. Basically you get the front bumper dry and nothing else. My car is currently in the shop for a broken weld on the radiator and waiting for a new radiator. They say there is nothing they can do about the car stalling. Does ANYONE else have this problem with their G? The dealership hasn't had anyone else report this as a problem and their search indicated only one other person in the country has said it was an issue. Please advise. We do live in Wisconsin, so I don't know if the climate effects it. Shouldn't, in my opinion. Thanks!

Me too...

This is too funny. I live in Northern California, and experience the same thing. 2013 car, stalls out when it gets to the end of the dry cycle. My car has 2000 miles and I got it 2 months ago. (It was probably the last new 2013 in the world)

Let me know what you find out, but this happens every time for me too.

OMG - Mine totally died coming out of the washer yesterday (place in Mass, USA). I brought her through to get the salt off her. Stalled coming out where the dryer tubes are blasting air. But I thought it was me doing something accidentally. My G 550 is the proud owner of half a dozen gremlins. I am just along for the ride.

Makes me feel super confident off roading in some water ways...

The other forum is discussing stalling from water in the intake during the spray process. Mine stalls only in the dryer. It did it twice last winter, only when it was really cold. Didn't do it at all during the summer. Now, every car wash it stalls in the dryer. The MB dealership that sold it to us and has serviced it since new said there was only one other report of that happening in the entire US (in California). It seems like it might be more than just two people though. Our G550 has had many issues too. It had a slow battery drain that took over a month and two trips to diagnose. The radiator leaking was the latest. The dealership has told me that there is nothing they can do about the stalling; however, for a $100k+ car this should not be happening. I will check if the latest service improved things and keep you posted. If there are more cars out there having this problem, we might be able to get MB to rectify the situation.

I think its quite conceivable that the air cycle is blowing water in where it shouldn't belong causing a similar problem as the previous thread indicated. My car is dying on the dry cycle as well....

Mine too haha I thought I was going nuts.... But it seems like the air blows just perfect in the vents to stall it... Now I drive through a little faster and no stall.... Given I have a blk g I like to hit touch-less washes

Same thing on my 08 500. Stalls when drying, looks like only hand washes for me.
