Hi all have been helping a mate with his g replaced the old moter with a 617.95 turbo the hard part of this was finding a moter as we could only find two in private captivity in our state and the owner took some convincing to part with one. Anyway a few bolts later all is good. Made a different vehicle out of it but with 4.9 diffs and standard tires reves were a bit high for longer runs.After a bit of reaserch decided to fit a t700 Chevy box to get some overdrive.This will teach me as I let my mate do most of the reaserch.This was the preferred conversion according to him well maybe it is for a two wheel drive but there is no way the front drive sharft can fit as standard I am probably going to try a two peace sharft but was wondering if anyone knew of someone that had put one In a g wagon before.
