New Owner Question

Just changed the oil in my 2010 G 550.
Put in 8.5 quarts.... very little oil showing on dipstick...
What did I do wrong?

Also... anyone have a BAD experience upgrading the ECU in their G ride?
Like warning lites coming on, engine malfunctions ect...

Thanks for any help!

Hi can you go to Google Search Engine and put in -
Mercedes oil change kit [5w-40] Pentosin /Mann. It said in there after you put your car type and model in, that you need 9 litres of oil .But please check out the google page its all in there . You have enough oil in there to start it up for a few seconds, so it pushes the oil around the engine ,then switch off let it go cold ,then check it again...
