2015 g550
Cool Pulling to the right? aggressively.

Hello. I purchased a brand new 2015 g550 last year and from the first day have had issues with this vehicle driving straight. Regardless of where I am or speed, the vehicle will drift to the right. if i drive on the left lane where the curvature of the road is slightly down to the left, the vehicle will drive straight. on the right lane, if the curvature of the road is slanted to the right, it will aggressively pull to the right.

he dealer and mercedes customer services says this is the characteristics of a Gwagon. Am I being tricked? Cant imagine a $100k vehicle behaving this way without a fix. vehicle’s alignment is perfect and they have swapped the tires etc. they claim this how a 5wagon drives. it only drifts to the right and i have to constantly adjust the steering wheel. any info based on your experience would be helpful to know.

What we have done so far:

alignment is perfect
tires have been rotated and replaced.
steering box replaced

Have you experienced this and what did you do? Or is this really normal?

I have a 2013 and have the same issues for almost two years. I purchase multiple sets of wheels and tire combos from 18" to 20". None of the cured the truck from wanting to pull itself off the highway. My primarily pulls left (in NY on highways) and has left my wrist tired after 1hour + drives. Needless to since, since I am a long distance driver NY to VT, I am trading the truck in for a GLE63 in April.
I hate that I have to do that but I cant drive something I dont feel safe in.

My G320CDI pulls to the left just a bit. The OEM springs were old and the truck was not sitting properly. I just changed the springs with a LORINSER kit and replace the 04 Bilsteins OEM shocks with some Bilstein B6 performance shocks and ordered an exhaustive alignment just to be right. I hope all this thing solve the problem....

Last year i went to Islamorada with my wife and rented a G550 from SIXT and as you can imagine that truck also have the same problem and pulled a little to the left. I thought it was alignment.

Pulling right

I was told by my independent alignment shop in town that most G’s have this pull to the right issue and it’s almost always because of bent axle shaft/tube. Usually caused by hitting a bad pothole. Claims those tubes are a weak point and fairly thin.

can anyway corroborate that opinion?
