Door sill illumination question?
Hi guys on my 2002 G500
Trying to install aftermarket iluminated sills that take 12v no need for the inverters
1- on a stock setup if We open the right door do all the sills light up or just that one?

I believe they both go on. They are a function of the interior lighting circuit. Trouble is, with one door closed I can't see if it is on or not.

The reason I ask is all 5 doors are off the car and need to wire these sills. The stock ones have 2 inverters one right and one left. these new sills only have one conection for the 4 . I was woried that I I use the right wire the left wont open if a left door is opened

I have a MY '16. Only the two front sills light up. The rears are solid metal with the MB inscription. Perhaps the aftermarket kit will allow all four to illuminate with new sill plates. That's pretty cool. Sorry I can't help you with the wiring details.
