Trailer hitch

After a year of hunting for someone to put a hitch on my 2010 G55 I'm now towing a small travel trailer. While hunting for the trailer everyone tried to sell me a Load Distribution System. Good Idea. At the very end they now state I can't have one due to the self leveling of my vehicle. So my questions are these; First, has anyone come across this? Second, while backing up my reverse sound sensor is constant, not the normal quick chirps. This happens even when I disconnect the 7prog connector. Once I disconnect the trailer everything works as normal. Does my car really know when something his hooked up to it? Has anyone come across this as well.
Thanks for info anyone can provide.

trailer hitch

Found one answer. But I sure didn't think it was the problem. Such an idiot, it was my back up sensors. They have never really worked well. They usually start warning around a foot or two then solid warning comes on within inches. I've never really trusted them to much and since the trailer is well over three feet away I didn't think the back up sensors were an issue.
Still looking for an answer regarding self load leveling on a 2010 G55 and if there is an issue with a weight distribution system. Thanks again.

I had no idea the G had self leveling suspension. I have a 16 G63, and Im pretty sure it doesn't have that. I could be wrong, but will find out soon when I lift it. haha.

The G-Class in 2010 did/does not have a self leveling system. If you have factory HID headlights, there are sensors on the suspension that adjust the height of the headlight beams to the vehicle, but not the leveling of the vehicle itself.
