Any feedback
Any pics of this mod would be nice..

Go ahead and replace the G500 badges with G55 badges while you are at it. You will get laughed at in the street with G55 wheels on a G500/550. Real Mercedes fans will call you a faker or as the young kids say "Poser" or "WannaBe" Bad idea in my opinion, but if you dont care what others think do as you please. There are plenty of aftermarket wheels out there that would compliment the W463, HRE 990R series being one of my favs.

Obviously subjective. Personally I don't have a problem with swapping stock wheels for AMG's on a non AMG model. FWIW; You can now order most any non AMG model vehicle with an AMG sport package that includes wheels.

If the guy likes the g55 style wheels and wants to put them on his truck not sure why he should not whats the big deal

That's true, but I've yet to see a G with an “AMG” package fresh from the factory. It wasn’t until I started reading on this forum about these so called "Posers" and "WannaBes" Once I started paying attention in the streets I soon began to see exactly what was being talked about, e.g. clk320 non-sport w/AMG wheels/badges, S500 with V-12 badges, etc... , but to each their own. I was only explaining what the ramifications will be amongst the Mercedes AMG heavies.

Sure, I agree. He can do it. Its his vehicle
....and to answer his question, they will fit. The offsets are the same

And doubt you ever will. The key words in my post were, 'most any' or not all. Fitting AMG packages to enhance ones car is one thing however, actually changing the model designation is something else.

Simon78,

If you complete the project post pics. Are you will to pay $4K for a set of 19s with Perelli Scorps?
