These people fix cars that are much bigger problems. I don't see this being a big deal. If you say the fenders, need to be modified, then okay the fenders get modified and bumper gets put on and problem solved. I just had my entire engine taken out, bored and sleeved. So G63 bumper is not something I worry about. While I love G-wagons, they are still just a cars. More than other forums, we here tend to mystify what otherwise would be no big deal in other forums like the W211 forum.

Hi Ted

would you mind telling me how much the front bumper is? did you get it from the dealer?

thanks

Dude, settle down. Your laborious explanation isn't necessary. Sounds like you have it all covered but others may not realize the fender detail. i'm not try to stir you up. Wow.

Brake upgrade?

I have upgraded my headlights to Xenon and also have the daytime running lights on my 2002 g500. I also have the updated grille but will be doing the G63 grille and bumper. (I'll post pictures later in the week)

Has anyone done the brake upgrades? I am looking to get AMG brake calipers. Is this as simple as replacing the calipers and pads? Or am I over simplifying this?

Here is a pair I found on ebay:

I am also wanted to upgrade my brake to g63 Amg one. I have the part number but it seems the brake is still unavailable to order. I don't know if the e63 Amg brake is bolt on to the g? Could anyone confirm ?

I saw a picture of someone in Dubai that retrofitted the AMG Carbon Ceramic brakes (W212 part number) onto a G. Don't know if it was a bolt on though- but from this, it seems that installing an E brake kit is possible.

The G63 uses the same braking components as the ML63.

Sorry guys, other than MB marketing material that mentions specifically that the G63 shares braking components with the ML63, I have no additional technical information.

I might go down to an independent MB repair show and ask. I won't be down there until this weekend. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks!

I never made it down to the repair shop that weekend. It's about a half hour from my home, and I have a newborn. So it's tough for me to get down there.

No idea, I have a 63...but I have a friend in Atlanta that got his for a 55 from his local dealership. I'll ask him. I do think you can use any 63 VIN # to find out the part #.

Where did you get the side mirrors? I need those too, but wasn't sure how the install was since i do not have turn signals.
