Leading question on G63 from los angeles

i all, i am looking forward to lease my next Mercedes 2015 G63 in SoCal. I wonder if anyone or any link can give me an understanding on august residual and money factor? So i don't walk in to the dealer not prepare. Thanks.

Here is the spec I saw in one of the dealership.

G63 black designo black Nappa leather. $137150
PA6 designo exclusive leather package $4950
20" black AMG wheel
Designo carbon fiber trim $2950
Designo Piano lacquer steering wheel

Total with d&d $145975

How much is a fair number for the cap cost?

Thanks all.

Johnny

Read this https://mbworld.org/forums/new-s-cla...ator-tips.html

The residual cannot be marked up by the dealer, so contact a few different dealers for a lease quote, and you'll get the residual number or you can ask over at the Edmunds G forum as well

For AMGs, the standard MF applies which is around 0.0020

Thank you jenz. I just spoke with the dealer and they quoted a 49% residual and not released money factor. They asked $5271 for 1st payment and down. 36month 12k/yr. $3012 for payment included tax. I used lease calculator after I left the dealer and insert Msrp and same Msrp for cap cost. 49% residual. .00225 MF. Added destination charge and $5000 down. The payment is only $2642. I don't know how they quoted for that $3012 payment. I will go to Edmund and ask the moderator to see if I can get a standard MF and residual for that car. Thanks. Let me know if anyone have idea on a reasonable monthly payment on the G. Thank everyone.

Ask your dealer to send you the math or screenshot of the payment calculation

I would not put any money down

Thanks everyone for the answer. I will check with multiple dealers to quote a decent deal. Thanks again.

Or you can let someone do all the negotiation for you and just pickup where they left off

Granted its a 2014, but based on the monthly seems like he did alright

Yes. That number looks about right. I got some numbers on other site as well so that will help me on the price. Any suggestion on doing MSD or don't do it?

Johnny - happy to see you picked up a g63. Hope to see you out on the road! If you have any questions about it let me know.

Jenz - that is a good number; but as i was explaining to johnny small fluctions on MF make a big difference on these. Its like multiples compared to something like a c-class (I have a w205 as well). Another thing that makes a considerable difference is the credit category, as the payment between teir 1 > teir 1 + > and Super Teir is over $200/month on a truck at this cost. Without a crazy (and foolish) amount of drive-off, you wont get below $2k. Hope this helps!!!

Agree, I think its impossible to get below 2,300 on a "smart" lease ie no down payment

It's all just math

each $1000 vs MSRP = $30 monthly
each 0.0001 change in MF = $25 monthly

My guess, if you pick up a 2015 off a dealer's lot (vs ordering it), I think this is around the best you'll be able to do in LA or any major metro area

Are taxes in CA 9.5%?

7% off MSRP
49p residual
0.0020 MF
$2375 monthly

I've never heard of 7% off MSRP on a G63 AMG

It just depends on how much business you do with your dealership. I got roughly 8%, but we buy a lot of cars from them.
