Thinking about a Brabus G850

I am thinking about getting the Brabus G850, has anyone had experience with this vehicle?

No experience. But at that price point I'd think you'd be much better off ordering a G65 custom from your dealer and find a shop like 3WD that can add some custom bits to your ride and make it a much more personalized vehicle. With an unlimited budget there are some parts from Brabus and Mansory that I'd like to build something unique. And pound for pound I'd spend more money on suspension and engine performance considering we're already at the limits of ridiculousness with the G65. Good luck.

No experience on the 850 upgrade but I'm in a process of getting the 700 upgrade done. If you plan on doing anything to you car or truck choose 3w and Brabus for all your parts and labor. Haven't worked with nobody that comes close to their experience or costumer service.

I appreciate both of your responses and will take them into consideration. I am getting the G65 in a few weeks and I will decide what to do then, thank you both again.

I was going to do the 850 but went with the 700 because the 700 can be done in the US at Brabus USA is less than half of the time as the 850. The 850 needs to be bored out, different internals, etc. and that is done in Germany at Brabus HQ, which also made me a little nervous about potential service issues. Hope that helps.

I want something over the top, something that you do not see everyday. I really wanted the 850 but after reading your post, sinisterserge, and after speaking with Brabus over the phone I can see the issues and ability to keep an eye on my car while it is being rebuilt. I have decided that I am going to get the Brabus 700 G63 6x6.

Heck yeah! Great choice!! They are a pretty penny but definitely more unique than the 850. Brabus is building me a 700 4x4 Squared right now.

Nice choice of the 700 4x4, it will definitely look amazing when it is completed!

No direct experience with the PKG in the G, but hard to go wrong with Brabus. They charge a premium, and they stand behind their product better than some of the other high-priced guys in the business. That said, I see no reason why you should stop at 850 HP. Give us a call when you want 1200+

I am sorry to say this but I have decided not to do the 6x6 because it is just too much car for me. Also I'm not Dan Bilzerian

Harney,

The BRABUS 850 is only available for the G63. The G65 would be the BRABUS 800. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding the G800.

Thank you!

??? You asked and 3WD as a brabus distributor just gave you some info as a nice gesture. Chill out or close the thread out so nobody will post on it anymore.

I simply did not want to be bothered by him.
