Transmission Issues.

Just found a new issue on my 2009 G55 AMG. It seems the car is slipping gears with a lot of loss of power and a lot of whining.

If this was my Audi or any other dual clutch transmission I would be assured this was the mechatronics. I am not really sure about this one since I have never done any major work on any of my Mercedes Benz vehicles. I am not sure what could be the issue here but I am sure its the transmission. I have had a look at the torque converter and everything seems to look fine on that end. Any kind of advise or help would be highly appreciated.

Drop the pan and look for what is called "swarf"--is it a fine powder or irregular pieces??

I took the car to a workshop and it seems the problem was in the Electro Hydraulic module, Getting it changed now and then will see if the problem is resolved.

Appreciate the advice though it does make sense to look for metal shavings around. But have left that with the mercedes benz independent workshop now.
