I've always believed that the more you have of a certain item, the less special each one of them becomes. However, gazillionaire automotive connoisseur Jay Leno is able to tell us all which Mercedes-Benz is his favorite to drive: the 300 SEL 6.3.

My W109 required two donor cars to make one perfect W109. As Jay remarked, it is an amazing car which still performs better than many modern day counterparts. I built this 1969 M-100 engine as a 6.5 liter with 11.7 compression ratio and Crane designed camshafts which allow it to develop max power at around 5700 RPM. At 3,800 lbs it is a 5 second 0-60 mph sedan with massive brakes and anti-dive geometry. It can endlessly cruise at 140 MPH on the original version of today's Airmatic suspension. The 1967-1969 versions were vastly underrated by the factory at 300 hp. At the very least it was 300 RWHP. The 1950's engine technology was taken from the Mercedes-Benz racing section. Note the tuned ram induction tubes coming from the plenums. Advanced even to this day.
The woodwork was restored by Pebble Beach winner, Dave Chamberlain. The Bosch/Mercedes-Benz direct, timed mechanical fuel injection was re- manufactured by Robert Fairchild. Additional work by Star Motors, NY and Top Flight Motors, Riviera Beach, FL.

Hoping this gets to Jay Leno
I will be putting my super rare 1961 280SEB up for sale in the very near future. It runs and is in very nice condition. After watching Leno and his appreciation for the beautiful cars he owns, I know this car would get the restoration attention it deserves. A lot of people tell me there's no such thing as a 1961 280seb. I assure you there is. Mine is one of only 25 built, I will post pics soon!!
