1988 Mercedes Benz 420sel
Hi. New here. New to owning a Benz also. I ended up with this car. Looking to see if it's actually worth something, fixing up, holding onto? Or better off selling. It's champagne color. In and out in very good condition. Has original first aid kit in it. Power everything. Moon roof. It turned on but won't turn over. My now ex said it was most likely a stuck or bad fuel pump? No other issues known. 130000 miles approx.

I had one with 150k Miles. The pumps tend to last. I replaced both and they had plenty life left.
The car does have an expensive fuel distributor. If that was to not work somehow, that would be a problem.
I found a rebuilt unit, was not cheap and improved starting and the power delivery.
Bring a mechanic and have this diagnosed, does it spark? Does it inject fuel?
Another problem can be the rusty brake lines with these. I bought factory replacements, 2 years later they started to rust too. You would think that the replacements made 20 years later addressed the rust problem, but no.
