Question Rotating drivers seat

Question? A friend recently test drove a MBZ but was not clear on the model. However, she commented that when the key was turned off apparently the memory seat swiveled to the left to allow easy exit. Not familar with this feature-anyone know what model, what option this is?

Never heard of that! On the C models w/ seat memory, you can set it so that the seat moves back when exiting.

Magic Seat

My memory seats do exactly that + reposition the steering wheel-always guite a ride when I insert my key after my wife has used hers. Just never heard of a left rotation feature.

My friend had a Chevy from the mid-seventies that did this when the driver opened his door.

We'd better use the Cones of Silence.

How could you test drive a car without knowing what model it is, Mercedes-Benz or not?

the only benz that i've heard of doing that is the Ambassador edition S600 which isn't directly offered by MBZ but is what they call a specific aftermarket package. Inldues interior gold trim, replacing leather with lamb skin, those seats, and most of the protecting upgrades in the bullet proof S. it was on like dateline or 20/20, or one of those types of shows several years ago.

Angry Thanks for nothing!

My original post was not intended to unleash the net comedians and uncork a series of ridiculous replies. As I said in the thread start-the question re' the seat stemmed from a simple comment made to me by a friend following a test drive. I was not there, and for all I know the seat supports may have been broken. BTW re' the comment about an individual not knowing what model they drove, not everyone stopping by a dealer to have a look will be either knowledgeable about the offered models, or even particulary interested. In most instances this board offers excellent replies to either queries of a technical nature or answers to questions of general interest. In this case I seem to have released the "Flying Monkey's"!

Yes, you certainly did.

I don't think anyone means disrespect, but if you look at other threads you will see that yes, there are a bunch of "comedians" in this organization!

At least you didn't post a picture of a ricer Mercedes, that would really get everybody going!

Checkmate, please don't take my comment too close, it's a joke. Never heard of rotating seats though.
