A Brief but Thorough History of the Kompressor Engine

Thank you, good information for everyone.

A small bit I know about the history of the Supercharger.

Francis Roots invented the 1st supercharger for an industrial type of motor to be used in his workplace. In 1860. In the USA. Roots Supercharger.

Gottlieb Daimler applied for a supercharger patent in 1885, to power a two-stroke motor.

By 1900 Karl Benz and Gottlieb Daimler had several sucessfull "kompressor'' motors.

It was by 1921 that Mercedes Benz went into their 1st year of fully producing their 1st Supercharged engines for passenger car sales.
