So, I'm considering picking up a little 330Ci convertible now that they are getting really cheap. However, I've been told that those cars are "questionable" if not outright gay. I'm really trying to get away from "gay" cars, since I just found out that my purple benz has convinced more than a handful of girls that I'm gay. Opinions?

My opinion is that anyone who judges someone by the car they drive is not worth knowing.

Nothing.....I wouldn't even assume that the car belongs to him much less make any judgement on his lifestyle. Fancy cars impress me, not the people that own/drive them. Even a complete ash hole can buy an Enzo.

Well now there's a difference between passing judgement on someone's lifestyle and assuming they lead a specific lifestyle. My only problem is that women I want to sleep with think I'm gay, and sometimes cannot be persuaded otherwise.

Anything that is a convertable is pretty much gay man.

There are a selected few convertables that are not seen as gay tho, SL 500/55, F430 Spider, 360 Spider, Gallardo Roadster. I even think an M3 Convertable is kinda gay myself...Yea its an M3 but gay guys like fast cars also....

a 540i is a great start to un-gaying yourself , make sure you get a sport tho.

guess what buddy, most people that drive an Enzo are *******s. And they have to be to make it to the status where they are at. No super nice friendly regular joe is gonna spend a Million on a car, those types of millionaires drive hybrids.

Of course its a sport! It MUST be an 02 white 540i Sport (auto). I'm going to debadge and tint it. Possibly in the future it will get a turbo, but never any visual performance indicators

Run w/ the 540. With as many chicks running around campus in converts their liable to think you are on their side.

I read all the replies b4 posting, but I never saw the correlation. I have a co-worker who has a BMW convertible. He loves the car & tries to talk to every woman he sees...

Personally, I prefer bigger cars. But if I see a guy driving a convertible Bimmer I don't think twice. I thought that car was made for men AND women...

Now a Miata, Mercedes SLK or Volkswagon Jetta convertible? That's a different story...lol
