Has anyone on this board shipped a car via a car hauler without being there for the pick-up. I am looking at purchasing a car from a private seller 1200 miles from my house and having a transport company pick it up and deliver. I will be there prior to shipment to inspect and cover everything, just will not be there for the actual pick-up, the seller will assist me with this.


I am looking for a good reputable company that someone on the board has had experience with.


Please let me know if you have worked with a particular company and thier contact information.

I have used "Reliable Carriers" several times. You've probable seen their orange trucks before. They are nation wide, dependable, do a lot of shipping with high line cars and work with the major auctions.
