Rattles in W204 C Class
I bought a W204 2013 demo-model C200 auto from a dealer about a year-and-a-half ago as an "upgrade" to my W203 C180 manual.
What a disappointment - the W204 has rattles everywhere in the dash, the rear deck and side pillars. Surely a "luxury sedan" should be noise-free? I miss my W203 that was hyper quiet with zero rattles. I test-drove a W205 once and it had even more noises (albeit creaks and not rattles).
Seems like merc's build quality has gone seriously downhill.
Two questions.
One - anybody else had the same experience?
Two - is it worthwhile stripping the interior trying to find those pesky noises or will stripping down do more bad than good?
Maybe I just have to change brands...
