So, anyone have Verde Brook? That's my color of choice, but haven't seen one in the flesh yet. What's up? Why doesn't everyone on this board post pictures of their GL's?

I have not seen Verde Brook and I was tempted early on, but a friend saw one and indicated it was kind of a dark olive drab and didn't look too good. I trust his judgement and changed to Barolo Red. I then learned that Barolo Red is not available for builds until June 1. So I changed to my standard White which I really do like.

I posted some shots of the GL's available at the local dealer but you are correct there are few owners who have posted. You can bet when I get mine you will be saying when is Nevada Jack going to stop posting pics of his GL...:-)))

Jack, I think you should lean real far towards white for your GL. I'm sure it will look great.

Nice shots Jack...love how the Pewter changes color when the light strikes it from different angles.

The beach area before Katrina with the ML looks a lot greener than after with the GL...:-(

Just ordered a GL 320 CDI to be delivered hopefully by mid May - spent months trying to decide between the GL and the Audi Q7 and also the V10 TDI Touareg. I'm happy with my choice, although I have to wait a couple months. I couldn't decide on color but finally decided on black and I got it loaded. Of course looking forward to delivery

Welcome...know you will enjoy your GL!

Looks like you got a April allocation...I am also planning on delivery in mid-May.

Your ID looks like you are from MD...spent many, many years there with our last home in Annapolis.

Verde Brook

Dealer sent me some nice pics of Verde Brook, on an ML, but it's the same color. I like it but may go with OB. Opinions?

I had seen those pictures and was very interested in the color. Still have not seen one in the metal...got one report it was kind of olive drabby. So I also changed to OB but then I saw some dark colors and the dust residue after a light rain and decided on the good old White. Black or Verde Brook will look great but keeping it looking nice is the problem with me.

Jack, great color combination choice with Alabaster and Macadamia Premium. I have the same, and it is stunning. Thought we were going to choose Barolo Red until we saw one on the lot. IMO, just too much color for such a large vehicle. You will also enjoy the premium lighting accents (just like the S) that come with the Premium leather package.

BTW, great pics. Being in the midst of 20 degree weather, it is nice to see palm trees.

Thanks JAM for the feedback on the White/Macadamia combo. I really like my S combo although the Savanna Beige is a little darker. Looking forward to the GL in May.

Glad you liked the palm trees also...to add a little more envy, it was 73 here yesterday...:-)

'13 ML350 Bluetec for work, E550 for pleasure, & ML350 for my wife
My new truck

I picked this up yesterday. I've been tentatively shopping GL's for the last month or more as a replacement for my GMC 2500HD 4x4. I have been driving 4x4 PU's daily for over 30 years, finally decided to switch to an SUV.

In my searching for a new GL, I kept trying to find one with the Off Road package & Trailer hitch. All four nearby dealers told me they very seldom include this option, and I would need to special order one, and wait a fair amount of time. One week ago my prefered dealer found a vehicle suited to my desires, without OFP, and I was ready to buy it this past Monday. Early Monday he called & said that vehicle had sold. Back to searching local & incoming inventory, he found the one I ended up buying, which was due at the dealership Wednesday. It has everything I wanted & then some, so I happily drove it home yesterday.
Details: Pewter, Black MBtex, P1, Lighting Pkg, 334 ORP, Sunroof, 070 Chrome, Rear Entertainment, Backup Camera, & Trailer Hitch.
Here's a pretty crummy photo. I'll get better images when it warms up.

Well, I spoke to my dealer yesterday and she told me she tried to place my order of Barolo Red in June, and the factory wouldn't let her do it and stated it isn't available. She will contact factory again tuesday to see what is the problem. It looks like I may have reconsider different color.

I guess they could have deleted it altogether. Maybe they have a new red color coming for the '08 models? My dealer indcated you can still order Barolo Red on German built models? MBUSA does some strange stuff...:-)

My local dealer just received a new GL in Baralo Red and it looks very good. If it weren't for the fact I just got rid of a vehicle nearly the same color I would have ordered this instead. However, it is very hard to keep clean.

Im not sure anything is easy to keep clean. I've had two white suvs in a row and you could sure see the dirt on them - particularly after a trip to Tahoe. I have a blue two seater and it shows a fair amount of dirt as well. Only the wife's minVAN in a goldish tone hides the dirt well.

Besides they are all expensive cars so we might as well try and keep them clean. right?
