Voice Control Demystified

For those of you wanting voice control in your car, please reading the following.

If your vehicle does NOT have the VCS buttons on the steering wheel, those will have to be added as well. If they do, chances are the VCS harness is not present in the car and this will have to be made. If you don't have the proper tools to make the harness, PM me and I can make it for you. The harness is NOT available ready made as of this post. To make your own harness, make sure you have the correct crimping tool. If you don't want to crimp your own wires, then order the pre crimped wires below.

TO make your own harness follow the guide:

PIN 16 of VCS housing to pin 1 of Microphone Housing
PIN 14 of VCS housing to pin 2 of Microphone Housing
PIN 6 of VCS housing to pin 3 of Microphone Housing
PIN 5 of VCS housing to pin 4 of Microphone Housing
PIN 15 of VCS housing to pin 5 of Microphone Housing
PIN 4 of VCS housing to pin 6 of Microphone Housing
PIN 11 of VCS housing to pin 7 of Microphone Housing
PIN 1 of VCS housing to pin 8 of Microphone Housing
Pin 9 of VCS housing to pin 9 of REAR sam P1 connector for power
Pin 19 of VCS housing to ground
Pin 18 of VCS housing to MHI pin 24

loop the fiber with the MHI module. Programming is required.

yes. but their papers show VCS retrofit on cars WITH vcs buttons only. Cars without those buttons would have to have them added.

I have the buttons, but my dealer's parts dept. can't find a part number for it, and keeps telling me that it is not available yet. Any suggestions?
