Also in footwells and cupholders. Not too big a deal, certainly not like the ambient in the S, which is what they should've done.

Shoulda shoulda shoulda...

I'm still grumped out about the visor-quality but really love the rest of the vehicle.

I have not seen the GL Ambient Lighting but for those who want to compare it against the S here is the S display;

Click the image to open in full size.

On the visors, I have not seen them up close and personal but when I was thinking R glass a couple of years ago and test drove one, the visor quality was the first thing I had negative comments on. Apparently they have not improved upon that feature.

Nevada, that garage looks nicer than my familyroom.

Yeah. the ambient lighting is very subtle not bold like the S, you have to kind of look for it. It's behind the door handles too. It's nice but when I mention it to a pssenger at night they don't know what I'm talking about.

On the S the intensity has 5 levels and this was on high to show up in the image better.

The garage looks a lot fancier in this image and the picture of Hilton Head lighthouse increases the illusion.

The GL even with MB text has sublte lighting. The lights are on the bottom of the rearview mirror, and in the footwells. It took me forever to figure out where the light came from.

Bingo, I saw them the first night I got my ML, this yellow light illuminating my hands. I had to stop and look for it, and then found the reading lights on the bottom of the rearviw mirror, you know they are there for reading, instead of using the lights on the roof, right? I ask because the dealer didn't know it was there. very useful for the passenger when driving at night.

I thought that looked like the lighthouse at Harbourtown. I live in Atlanta, but most of my clients are in HHI...spend a great deal of time down there. Obviously, you've spent some time down there as well!

Yeah, yeah, I'm

Yeah a little...7 years from 1987 to 1994. We lived in Moss Creek just to the left as you approach the bridge on 278. I played so much golf I felt like I was on tour...:-)

Ah yes, have designed a number of homes in Moss Creek. I have a little place out on "the Cay" in Sea Pines. Love it down there!

Charlie Johnson built my home...you probably know him. I know the Cay area, sold one of my boats to resident there.

You know, I know I've said this before but I thought it bore repeating based on the picture of the inside of your S, and your garage;

I hate you.

The company was Johnson and Dulaney but it was a long time ago so perhaps he has retired or moved on.

Last Off Topic post...sorry.
