Quick & Easy Mod

I just put these small chrome pieces on the vents in my hood - took me about 10 minutes to remove them from the hood (twelve screws and a couple clips) and another 30-ish to prep and epoxy the pieces. Normally I would leave them on the car, but it's been chilly here (and I am too impatient to wait until spring). I will put some pics up when they're reinstalled.

Those're pretty sharp. They're a lote more squarerer than the ones I put on my GL. Did it say you had to take the vents off to put those on? Because with the other type, you put them on in place. (And they've stayed in place, by gum!)

My hood "Arrows" used 3M tape.

I added window frames also.

The aught-nines were the first ones with mirror chrome, yes? And the last GL I saw on the lot had the hood "arrows" as well.

My MY09 didn't come with either the chrome hood fins or the chrome mirror covers, and I opted for almost every option. I've asked my local dealer, and they part number I've found doesn't even come up. So I don't know if MB made then stopped making them or if they aren't very available generally, etc.

The hood arrows were about $75 from a Mid-West company. They also have the chrome for log lights for about $250. That is next for my car.

The chrome window trim was a 10 peice metal kit on ebay for about $75.

Attached here is our "MB sticker" showing "Chrome" door handles & roof rack.
I also have the front & rear "skip plates"

Hi, I stumbled across your post and I have a question about the window trim for 75$. Is that the type where it clips on top of the existing trim??.., I have always wondered if anyone had used the clip-on-top type and how well it covers/looks coz it is a loooot cheaper than the one from the dealer. Tanks a lot!

P.S. I am new here… Hi everyone!!

Stick on (tape) already on the metal.
Note these items look more Chrome and "brushed" metal.
I still like the look, that's my taste.
