Arrow M-B GL Class Special Wiper Blades - INFO

FYI - trico neoforms are direct-connect to the special mercedes-benz gl wiper arms. Pretty much all other wiper blades require a snap-on sub-assembly adapter to make them work. Problem with that is they are usually ugly, increase the chance that they break and also cause viberation and noise. Be careful - you just cant grab the neoforms by length because they have special part numbers for the special arms - so look up the year and exact model of your gl and buy accordingly. I get mine at wipers123 online and have never messed up buying the wrong part numbers - easy and good pricing.

Thanks! that's great info. I have never even found non-oem blades with an adapter that would work.

The list on wipers123 brings up the 320 but I don't know what year you have so I'm not 100% sure they make them for you. You'd have to punch in the full make, model, year. But hopefully you're good to go!

I installed Bosch Icon that I bought at Advanced Auto Parts past week and they installed easily ( in 5 min) and work great. Just fyi. No idea which one is better but just wanted to say installation of others can be easy too.

Good Year Blades from Costco

It's not rocket science to get them to fit. I have a pair of Good Year "flat blade" style from Costco that I put on in northern Michigan so if the ice kills them I'm not out the OEMs. I haven't broken them yet and they work great. No wind noise.

Costco with coupon: $7.99 for a PAIR!!! Without coupon: $7.99 x 2. A deal.

Actually I did have the goodyear ones from Costco previously as well. My experience was not that great. Did not even last 10 months for me. Started making some noise. Therefore tried something else. But @ 7.99 a pair, not harm for others to give it a try

I bought piaa silicone flat blades that they have for the GL the adapter is on the bigger size but no wind noise or vibration and silicone wipers are the best. They outlast the oem ones and store brand ones by far...

I just wanted to clarify that I found the combination of beam blade or flat style wipers specifically made for the MB GL arms that do not required subassemblies or adapters. You can find conventional wipers and you can find wipers with adapters, I was just sharing that I found beam blades with no adapters. And yes, adapters or not, once you have the right wiper, a child could install them.

VW's
I tried the Goodyear Costco wipers. First set streaked. Returned them and the second set was no better. Gave up and will let them wear out. I'm not sure if I expect too much but I'm sticking with Bosch from now on.

Reading back in the history I want to make clear I use the inexpensive version in harsh winter climates so the OEM blades don't get wrecked in the ice. I only put them on when we head to that area so I'm not trying to endorse $10 blades to replace OE quality. Just that when you get stuck hundreds of miles from a dealer it's nice to have a backup in the cargo area.

Popped one neoform off and took a picture. Real nice built in attachment - low profile. See the attached pictures.

What did you guys buy for rear windshield? Need to replace that. See Anco and Valeo on Amazon. Any recommendations?

I don't own your model but make sure you specifically punch in make, model and year into the lookup system - don't go by length only. I think the mount is special.

Costco Rules

I've used the good year blades on my ML for the last 6 years and they work great!

The rubbers slip right in to the existing hardware

Why spend $80 to have the dealer do it?

Makes no sense to me.

They take about 2 seconds to install.
