Fair price for 2009 GL-450 with 24K miles

Hi all,

I'm looking for a GL-450 used one for my wife. My understanding is that '09 to '12 model look the same. There is one CPO '09 with 24K in my area in mint condition and with premium 1 package. The dealer is asking for $44K.

How much should I pay for this one? I saw someone posted the price on GL-450 on some threads. It would be great if there is some similar pricing tags for this time frame.

Thanks a lot.

2009 GL450
I got exactly the same car here in Socal for 42k. It was an 09 GL450 with 28k miles. CPO. The car was originally listed at 44k and i was able to talk them down only 2k. This was about 3 weeks ago.

Manheim average price for this kind of car is about $40K. If you buy CPO for $42K-$43 - I think you'll get a fair deal.

P.S. 2009 is not the same as 2010-2012. There are minor things like updated Command System, Wheels ....etc.

At $40K for MMR pricing, you have to add $1K in fees, then dealer pays about $1500 to Benz for the CPO warranty.

No way can an MB dealer sell a truck they bought for $40K for $42K-$43K, that's why they will own it at after prep and CPO warranty.

Thanks for the advice. Appreciate if you can post the difference between '09 and '10. We may consider '10 model over '09.

Thanks.

It also depends on how long the car has been on the lot. In my case, the car was on the lot for about 40 days. I know that after a certain period of time passes, their policy is to send the car off to auction. The car i purchased was nearing that point and they could either lose money by sending off to auction, or break even/make a little money by selling it to me. Time was on my side.

We offer $42k for this one this morning but they don't accept it. They want at least 43k. Since my wife doesn't like it very much because interior is not clean, we pass on this one. It has been on the lot for 46 days by the way.

2010 with the same mileage would cost about $47K-$48K.
2010 with about 35K miles you may get for $42K-$44K..plus about $1K auction/dealer fees.

I am picking up a GL450 today !!! The Escalade ESV is simply too big for the Mrs, especially for pickup my boys from school (can't see kid walk pass the front)

2009 CPO car, 45K miles, from the pix, it looks new. Basically 20 months/55K left on the warranty. The wife is only avg 5-6K/year, so just want to extend the time coverage

Car came with P1, appearance package (20" wheels, chrome roof rack..), and rear seat entertainment, black on black. I got it for $40K + tax.

I picked up mine last weekend. Was able to bring it down to $41,484 to be exact, plus tax. I think it is good price for 2009 CPO with P1 package and 24k miles on it.

However we seemed to get trapped with "Ding" coverage. I paid $500 for 5 years. My coworker said he had it before and it really sucks. Anyone has experience with this, please share your thoughts.

Sounds like you got a good deal. So this was the same car the dealer wanted at least $43K for? Interesting how in a matter of a couple of weeks, they decided to let it go for $1500 less. Congrats!

Picked it up last night. Pretty decent truck

But I will say this, I am happy that we keep the escalade for weekend and long trip. A lot lot lot more room

And I am surprise that people in the escalade community envy of the GL quality. Except for the dash board, which look like it came straight from trash bin for the escalade, the rest of that truck seem like better build

90 miles after the ride home, front wheel get dirty already, I will change to ceramic pad this weekend, and replace that cheapy rear bumper pad
