Service D on 2008 GL 450 question
All,
I just performed Service of my 2008 GL 450 at 56000 Miles. i bought this as a CPO about 11000 miles and a year ago.
The service records said everything was ok as Dealer took care of it before making it CPO & just oil change and Air filter change.
Dealer charted 380$ (NJ). I come from Lexus and this was little more to absorb for oil change.
However after looking at logs i found couple of things.
No tire rotation was performed and my next service is after one more year or 13000 miles. My Lexus dealers always do that and perform all fluids top type of service also.
Is that Normal? I know both cars are made different but Tire rotation should be part of it at least.
Another thing just FYI.
I had power steering leak and special parts order was made under warranty. I would call them and get it fixed later in time.

I do remember getting my tires rotated at around Service D at 57,000 miles or so. I now have 70,000 miles. Pretty sure that you do need your tires rotated though if you want my opinion.
Anyway, I'm not entirely too sure but I'd call the stealership back and ask if it's normal.

Did you had tire rotation at 45000+/-1000 also? my question is more do people here perform tire rotation every year/10k miles?

I just left my car at our dealership for 10K miles service today and yes - there is a tire rotation on a list of service. I do not do any rotation, so I requested not to rotate it. They said - no prob....

And why you don't do any Rotation? Trying to understand need for it .

From my experience - I was saving from 2K to 3K miles of tire life maximum...no more.
The thing that I don't like after rotating is that the car doesn't drive the same way I used to ...it just feels weird first couple days.
I know ...the one that weird is probably Me , but...this is my reason.
