any way to turn off the TPMS?
So my TPMS light came on in the cluster. All tires have correct tire pressure. I reset the TPMS, but still can't get the indicator to turn off. So my best guess is that my TPMS are dead (I think they have a 4-5 year battery life). Any way to turn them off? I frankly don't care if I have them.

Make sure your in the limit of 32 for the front and 38 for the rear. Then try and reset them. If it still comes on, doesn't the read out of the tire pressures show you which tire is low?

How do you get a read out of the tire pressures? I don't think tire pressure is the issue. I've gone 6 months with the current tire pressure and had no issues until now. Checked them all and they are all 38 all around.

OK, so I am hoping that someone can shed some light on the TPMS issues.
I recently purchased a new set of wheels and TPMS sensors. I had the dealer look up my serial number and verify that I need the 433 mhz sensors. I picked up 4 Daimler Chrysler (Siemans) 433 mhz sensors on eBay. These should work on this vehicle. I installed the wheels and for the first 10 minutes or so the car was trying to sync with the sensors. Then all of a sudden I got a Tire Pressure Inactive Message stating that there are no sensors.
Now I can't even re-set the system to have it try to find the sensors again. I am stuck. I have to take it to the dealer for a clunk in the steering anyway, but i thought I would ping the group to see in anyone has successfully gotten past where I am on their own.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you checked spare? I had the problem with a 4-Runner and after checking and rechecking and rechecking the tires on the car I cehcked the spare - 10 lbs low. Filled it and fixed it.
