I just had a trailer hitch installed on my '07 GL450. I was referred to the installer by my MB dealer. When he got the hitch itself installed he came in the waiting area and said he could not do the wiring because it was "multifunctional" and he tried to do one 2 months ago and had an airbag deploy that cost him $1000 to get fixed.

So, now I a have great, special ordered hitch, installed and no wiring to tow by boat (have 17' center console - very light). My dealer now says can not get wiring harness without ordering "whole kit" - which includes another full hitch

Any suggestions? Thanks
