This lock/unlock setting can also be synced to each key. ie, we have ours set so that when my key operates the car, it unlocks all the doors when I stop the engine and exit. When my wife drives only the driver's door unlocks. Big p.i.t.a. when I start the car and back out to let her get in the passenger side - I sometimes let her stand there for a few seconds wondering why she doesn't get in, not realizing she drove the car last and the doors were therefore locked!

On my '10 GL the setting is called "automatic door locking" on/off. If on, it locks all the doors above some speed (~10mph or so) and then when you stop and put in park, it unlocks all the doors...

With the rear hatch, I beleive all you do is press the button on the underside of the hatch to stop it at whatever height yo uwant. Then with it stopped press and hold the hatch button gain till it beeps. That should set the height.

Only works on 2008 and newer cars. 06 and 07 is either all the way open or MB's preset lower height which is in line with the roof (too low that it becomes inconvenient always needing to avoid it).
