Cinnibar Red - finally a real world example

Finally, there are some real world shots (or video) of the new Cinnibar Red color. This is all I have been able to find to-date beyond the computer generated approximations on the Germany MB car configurer. Anyone find any other real life photos of this new color yet??? I have been disappointed that the mainstream auto mags (Edmunds, Car and Driver) have not really posted any new photos from the first drive event in New Mexico last week - how many times do I need to see a white GL (as nice as that is). . .

I like the new color. Looks a bit lighter and brighter than the old Barolo Red, almost like Mystic Red which I have seen in person once and really liked.

I need to see this color in person but this is definitely in option for me along with the Pearl Beige and Lunar Blue.

This color does look interesting and sort of like Mystic Red like you mentioned.

I forgot, which Alabama car are you going after? Was it the GL63?

From the video I liked how the headliner is black but didn't like how the rearview mirror and sun visors were still white color. That will look very odd in person. (50 second mark. Unless if I'm just seeing things.)

Also you should consider the Dakota Brown once again. I saw another ML driving in the sun and the color changed from dark brown to gold highlights. It's a color that's got a lot of depth to it.

I am going for the GL63 provided MBUSA doesn't price out out of my range . . .

I think you are right about the two tone look (visors and mirror) that come with the designo interior package.

I want to like the Dakota Brown and agree it looks best in bright sun light when the gold comes out. I just don't like (as much) how it looks out of the sun where I find it to be a dull brown. Plus, my wife has nixed Dakota Brown for that reason - and she happily picked out our Cocoa Metallic (Brown) Enclave.

By the way, I am looking forward to seeing what you finally decide to go with for wheels for your R63 (when you get around to it).

Kind regards

Good luck with your GL quest. I really wish some Designo colors were available then you can truly get something different. In the end, though, you can't really go wrong with any of those that you listed if you want to be different. I did a quick browse the other day on used ML63s on eBay and about 85% were black and the remaining 15% were silver. There wasn't a single other color ML63!

I'm still undecided on the rims, but I do have some other modifications planned. So stay tuned for some surprises (in the next couple of months). Right now the car's getting extended warranty stuff taken care of which can take 3-4 weeks!
