Goodyear Tire Replacement cost!
WOW, I was suprised to see how much the Goodyear 20" Runflat costs to replace! It was close to $600 mounted and balanced! Good thing I only needed one! I even compared the price to Tire Rack, which lists the tire for $500 in change as well. I guess since Goodyear has the only run flat available in this size or oly make to even offer a run-flat, they have us by the *****! Do other offer a similar product? I don't see it on Tire Rack.

Yep I know your pain. I had one of mine replaced by the dealer on Monday. They charged $650 plus change for tire and install. Too expensive of a tire IMO for the little benefit run flats provide.
When I m due for a new set I m going with conventional tires. I don't even know why they put them on my GL450 to begin with since it dies have a spare.

for about $1000-1200 installed you can go to all four non run-flats.
cheaper, better ride and larger choice of tires.
get a few cans of fix a flat and a 12v compressor ($20) and you are good for most of the bad things that can happen to a tire on the road.

Dueler H/L 400 cost $257 per tire at Tire Rack. The Goodyears are $516 a piece.
My 2011 GL350 came with the Bridgestones and they seem to be okay after 20K miles. I have found Goodyear tires to be overpriced in the past. On my previous Land Rover, I had Goodyear Wranglers which would wear out after 15-20K miles and cost $400+ per tire. I switched to Hankooks at $250 a tire and they were just as good if not better than the Goodyears...

I certainly know that non-run flats are a lot cheaper especially via mail order. Thats how I ve been buying tires for years even before the www, via catalogs. I was however in a jam having one tire damaged ( nail in sidewall) with only 12K on the set! Thus I decided to replace the one tire rather than spend twice that and throw away a perfectly useable set of tires (the remaining three) for another 15K or so.

Ours came with the Goodyear RFTs, and they were terrible, noisy, harsh tires that seemed to wear VERY well. Replaced them with the bridgestone RFT's at about 1/2 price, and I like them better. Ride a little softer (though still harsh), are a bit quieter, and still wear like iron.
Though standard tires will ride better and cost ALOT less, there is something to be said about the additional safety of run flats. Within the first 10k, hit a huge pothole in the middle of the country at around midnight, about 10 miles from civilization and 15 minutes from my house. Ended up bending a wheel and subsequently letting all the air out of one tire. Instead of waiting along the side of an unlit 2-lane country road for 1hr+ for AAA, I just limped it home at 45mph (vehicle drove fine), and dealt with it the next day.
Despite the tradeoffs, our GL will continue to use runlflats. And to avoid the hassle of waiting for ordered tire(s) to arrive, got an extra pair sitting in the garage if necessary.
