GL320 CDI Air Mass sensor HELP!

Hello,

My GL320 CDI is smoking a lot at idle...and its over fueling at 1400-1800rpm, you can feel the engine vibrates a bit as if fuel is flooding it.

No engine check light, then I tried disconnecting both air mass sensors, and smokes are gone, engine pretty smoth with both sensors disconnected but of course engine check light turned on.

Does this mean sensors are dead?

it means that you have to have your car read.

You don't tell us what year your GL is, how many miles/km are on the 'clock', or where in the world you and the car are located. This severely limits the quality of the recommendations we might be able to make.

Removing the air mass meters does nothing for diagnostics, it just goes to a baseline setting and runs with less power. There is a bad sensor for sure but could be fuel temp, air mass meters, fuel pump pressure, egt sensors, lots of different inputs could fool the computer. Is it a stock engine or chip/power box installed?

Sorry, it's a 2008 GL320 CDI with 79000km on clock, euro spec

It's a stock engine. It stops smoking when I disconnect both air mass sensors.
