Need help buying tires
I will be buying wheels for my 2008 GL550 20x9 rims . What would be a good tire to have to have minimal road noise. Im tired of the damn hockey puck tires on the GL. I was thinking of the Hankook Ventus ST RH06.

22'' TIRES
I put Falken 452 tires on mine about 3 months ago and like them so far. I'll probably spend a little more and get the Toyo Proxes II next time.

I just got Hankook Ventus ST RH07's installed about 3 months ago. Much better then the runflats they replaced. Tire shop told me that the RH06's are discontinued so I opted for the 07's.

I just had the Ventus ST RH06 285 50r20 tires installed two weeks ago, the indy shop balanced the tires by using Roadforce machine and also did the alignment. My first impression on the road was I could feel the tire vibration between 65-70 mph. Never had that on my Goodyear runflat. Checked the pressure it was 38 all four tires so lowered the fronts to 32 psi still feel the tire, but lesser. Does any of you feel the same? Was thinking to send it back to rebalance. I will post the tire balance computer printout later.

I further lowered the tire pressure on back tires, they are now 32 fronts and 35 backs. Took it to freeway and this time there was no vibration at all. Accelerate great and runs great. I am not sure if lowering the tire pressures did the job or somehow the truck 'adapts' to these new tires. It's driven probably 100 miles since installed two weeks ago.
