Hi, When I start off to drive by pressing the accelerator, I can hear a knock in the back like a piece of trim is loose, or something is rolling about. At first I thought it was a seat belt buckle knocking against a metal seat post, but its not that. I've checked everywhere under the seats, but can't seem to find anything loose.
No problems when its driving, but when I brake to come to a stop, I get the same noise but fainter.

Any suggestions please?

Could it be something under the car?, but it does sound like a marble rolling backwards inside, as soon as I put the foot down.

check in the cup holders in the third row.

I recall reading in a post that someone had got a marble in the ac vent under the driver seat. As I recall they had a devil of a time getting it out w/o taking the vent out. If there have ever been kids in the car almost anything can get into those vents.

Hi, Yes, checked the cup holders, thanks. Doubt its a marble in the a/c vent as its been okay up into couple of days ago, and no kids marbles nearby LOL.

Find if it sounds inside our outside of the cabin. Since you prolly don't have a chassis ear setup (multiple remote mics with a listening station) you will have to enlist your "wifey ears" to pinpoint rough location.

If inside - check seats, stuff in trunk, under trunk cavity (spare tire space), first aid kit, etc.

If outside- it could be a rock stuck in the frame or lose / worn suspension part.

If you have a 350 with urea tank it could be the **** sloshing around too.

I had the same thing and it turned out to be the last muffler clamp near the chrome tip.

Found the noise, its something loose in the vent under the left (passenger side). Pretty sure its a AAA battery as I found another one nearby. How can I get it out??

Remove seat. Pull vent duct assembly. Empty. Find offender. Give him/ her ****.

Got the little bugger out!!!, Used a vacuum cleaner with a hose pipe on the end. Out comes a AAA Duracell battery.
