Just in time

i changed the radio in my gl for a radio that came out of a 07 gl. the radio just displays the mb emblem then opens and stays open??? no sound no screen nothing. I did notice the 2 orange fiber optic cables are cut, but arent they just for the cd changer? PLEASE HELP!!!

All audio devices are plugged into an optical ring. If you want to omit a module (say the cd changer) you have to code for it. Otherwise you end up with open optical ring and nothing works (as you have observed).
