GL Service Flex-Disk and Belt
Wondering if these are really bad enough to replace.
Also, how hard is it to do the Flex-Disk and the serpentine belt?

I would change em myself..
the belt looks ready to go...
flex disk looks fine, not a difficult change but you need new bolts and torque properly.
Out of curiosity how much were you quoted to repair?

Actually, I went to check, and the belt was done (Guess I forgot I gave the dealer the OK to go ahead.)
I think the flex-disk was somewhere between $250 and $300.
I have it on order for $102 and will do it myself. (It looks like it comes with bolts)
(OK, all the ones for $125 and up come with bolts and the one for $102 had the same part number but no picture)
Yes, the disk did not look bad, but it is over 5 year old and had 100k miles, and we tow a little, so I figured it was cheap enough to check off the list.
