Noticed the other day that only the center of the main light switch lights up and the 3 lights to the left depending on what lights are on. All of the symbols across the top to indicate which mode the switch is in do not appear to be illuminated when lights are on. I can't remember if this every worked or should also be backlit. Mine is a 2008 GL320. If someone wouldn't mind having a look next time you are in yours in the dark.
