I got my 2011 with P2, towing package, lighting, distronic, and rear seat entertainment for 51.5k in July. CPO's extra 2 years for 3500 and tire warranty for 1400.

In reality it's a little different. I could not sell mine fully loaded 2011 Bluetec for 2 months. Car was on Autotrader and Ebay. Autotrader - no calls/e-mails at all, Ebay - I got couple lowballers responses and no real buyers.

$59K for a 2yr old vehicle seems like a bad deal considering you can buy a new one for an extra $10K. Furthermore, the 2012 is the old body style so it should trade at a bigger discount

I just bought a used 2012 GL with P2, Lighting Package, Towing Package, Full Leather and a number of other options....stickered just over $80k and I paid $58k (they were asking $63). Finding a diesel GL around here (PA) for decent money is nearly impossible; I bought this one in Michigan and drove it home. On top of just finding a 350, finding one with the options I wanted was a real challenge. Most of them come without HID's and have MB Tex instead of real leather. Leather you could deal with if you really need to (swap interiors from a wreck) but HID's essentially can't be retrofitted unless you want to go with one of those aftermarket kits, but they are really for looks only since the projectors are designed differently for HID/Halogen. This one was like a needle in a haystack, so I was willing to fly to go get it. It's always tough to say good deal/bad deal because the market varies from region to region. In the northeast corridor, every used one I called about was sold the day after it was listed or was a stripper model with no options. A 450 or 550 was easy to find but I wanted diesel for towing.

It had 19k miles on it at time of purchase and was in excellent condition. Other options I forgot to list: rear seat entertainment, parktronic, blind spot assist, heated steering wheel, 3 zone climate control, running boards w/ illumination kit, chrome trim.

Out Of Control!!
Get what you want. If you want a P2 don't settle for a P1.
Also, don't worry about traveling to pick it up. You will enjoy the drive home.

Agreed. I didn't initially *need* a P2, but I'm happy that I got it in the deal. If I had really wanted it, and didn't get it, I'd probably be disappointed. I bought mine in Michigan and it was a 10 hour drive home. It was a pretty easy day in the GL...only stopped for diesel once.

Still...thats a TON of money for a 42K car. I think the low miles one looks like a better deal.
