2007 GL Braking Problem
Changed my brakes a while back and about a month later I started to notice a clicking noise whenever I started to brake. There is a single click noise when I brake. It is definitely from outside of the car and is pretty loud. I have checked over my brakes and everything is solid. Wondering if anyone else has run into this before, thinking I may have a bad bushing somewhere and getting some metal on metal or something. Happens at any speed and doesn't seem to change regardless of how hard I stop. More of an annoyance than anything, but help would be appreciated.

Brake pads are Wagner ThermoQuiet. I don't think it is a scored rotor as it is a single click, no more, no less. And like I said, only happened about a month after the brake change so I am not sure if that has anything to do with it or if it is just coincidence.

Out Of Control!!
Did they come with new rubber bushings and clip?
Did you change the pins?
Did you lube the pins and where the pads contact the caliper bracket?

No to the new rubber bushings and clip. I don't know what pins you are referring to, it has been a while. I always lube pads and ensure good contact, went back to look and that is not an issue.

Out Of Control!!
Wondering if the bushings or clip arte a little worn?
My Centric pads came with new parts. (Bushings and Clips)
The pins are the two bolts that you have to remove to get the caliper off.
They are available replacement parts. I cleaned mine and reused them.

When I get a chance in the next couple weeks I will look for wear on these parts to see if that is it. It is actually quite loud and I am thinking it is maybe a worn out bushing somewhere else in the suspension that is hitting metal on metal when I stop. Forgot to mention that it seems to only happen when stopping going forward.
